Terms and conditions

We believe in building a mutual trust between ourselves and our clients to help develop a long lasting relationship. We also like to keep things clear and simple so, taking a pragmatic approach, have outlined some basic terms and conditions which you are deemed to have accepted when you use our services. These are not exhaustive as we prefer to adopt a common sense approach to most situations.

Quotations
All quotes are valid for 30 days and are be subject to site of final copy and content.

Content
All images, assets and text must be supplied by the client, unless quoted as part of the job. Downloading content from an existing site, preparing images for use or upload, creating custom graphics, copywriting, author’s amendments and updates to layout or content are charged as extra at our standard studio rate, unless otherwise stated. If your website contains a blog, it is your responsibility to assign a person within your organisation who is responsible for administering any content added. We cannot be held responsible for any views or opinions within.

Copyright
You confirm that you own or control the copyright and other intellectual property rights of any information or images supplied for use in your work. Any stock images used are done so in accordance with the supplying companies licence. We retain the copyright to any original graphics created for your work.

Domains, email and hosting
After a lengthy evaluation process looking into reliability, support and features, we have decided to use 123-reg to supply our domain registration and email packages. Therefore, in relation to these, you also agree to accept their terms and conditions (which can be found at www.123-reg.co.uk). We keep regular backups of sites and databases hosted, over the last 30 days. Our hosting partner endeavours to provide a 99.9% service uptime, excluding planned or emergency server maintenance or conditions beyond their reasonable control. Should their maintenance last for longer than 30 minutes, we hope to notify you in advance via e-mail. As with all technology this cannot be guaranteed. We also make no guarantee to defend a customer’s website from a denial of service attack.

Website maintenance
We hold wordpress theme and plugin licences for every site we build and host. If a site is built on our server and migrated to a clients server (or built directly on a clients server) it would then be the clients responsibility to purchase their own licences for any themes or plugins used. As with any software platform that is updated regularly, bugs and security vulnerabilities are possible. This applies to themes, plugins, webservers, CMS’s, browsers and basically anything that is written by people and based on code. We endeavour to only use sources that are as secure and reliable as possible, but no guarantees can be made. Should you require wordpress, a theme or plugin updating in the future, charges will apply and be quoted separately.

Liability
We cannot be held liable for any matter that results from a third party. Our liability, in any other matter, is limited to refund of our fees related to that service.

Payments
All design and production fees will be be invoiced upon completion of the project and terms are 15 days from invoice date. Should a project be delayed or stopped by you, we reserve the right to issue an invoice for work carried out to date.

Hosting fees are billed yearly in advanced and cleared payment must be received 15 days prior to your renewal date (an invoice will be sent out 30 days prior to renewal).

Any late payment could result in your website being temporarily suspended.

Cancelation
You may cancel your hosting renewal at any stage with 30 days written notice. A refund may be issued for any remaining months left in that period. We reserve the right to refuse renewal.

Variation
We reserve the right to change the company supplying domains, email and hosting at any time. If we do, it would only be to improve those services and you would be notified immediately. We also reserve the right to alter charges at any stage with 30 days notice. If you decide to leave as a result, a full refund related to those services for the remaining period will be issued.

We may revise these terms and conditions in the future.
